  1. CONSTRUCT FEEDER ROAD FROM CLIFTON GROUNG TO YARD.

  4. PROPER DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
  5. RELOCATE POST OFFICE TO THE RESOURCE CENTER.

COLIHAUT PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT

SEVENTEEN (17) GOALS

  1. Set up a Housing Scheme at Plat Ma Pierre for residents in need.
  2. Construct a proper water intake system at Gwano.
  3. Conduct training for the youths including in popular music, welding, electricals, plumbing, woodwork, sewing and designing, tailoring and cooking.
  4. Undertake projects to provide jobs for school-leavers.
  5. Help residents to set up micro and small businesses.
  6. Construct feeder roads to Fond Paille and Auxpitons.
  7. Provide lockers for the fishermen.
  8. Ensure the Gadharkan Quarry operates in a manner that puts the health of the community first.
  9. Establish a Community Center with space and facilities for youth recreation.
  10. Fence the Primary School.
  11. Upgrade the school garden.
  12. Improve the Playing Field for football, cricket, basketball and rounders.
  13. Light-up the Playing Field.
  14. Erect street lights on the highway from Gwo Mango to Sunset and also from Gwo Mango to the Playing Field.
  15. Construct a Public Convenience at Gwo Mango.
  16. Construct a retaining wall at the back of Gwo Mango.
  17. Re-build the Police Station.

  8. PROPER WATER SUPPLY
  9. A PUBLIC BATHROOM/TOILET FACILITY

  10. COMPLETE RECONSTRUCTION OF LAMOTHE PARK FOR CRICKET, FOOTBALL, NETBALL, ROUNDERS & TRACK AND FIELD

GRAND BAY PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT

TWENTY-ONE (21) GOALS

  1. Construct feeder roads to Bordeo, Dalfonsee, Perdit Temps, Morpo, Allez Morne, Powel, Lorgy and Markaton.
  2. Re-develop the Agricultural Center.
  3. Subsidize vehicles intended for farm work.
  4. Improve the system of fishing.
  5. Conduct Youth Skills Training in clothes-making, plumbing and electricals.
  6. Assist Radio Enbas-Mango in the training of Youth for employment on the air waves.
  7. Provide start-up capital for micro & small businesses.
  8. Provide public assistance to indigent senior citizens.
  9. Construct a Police Station on Lalay Road.
  10. Equip the Hospital with two (2) ambulances and facilities for surgery and delivery of babies.
  11. Upgrade the public cemetery.
  12. Construct a motorable road from Tete Morne to Picado.
  13. Build a bridge over Mitchum Ravine.
  14. Construct public conveniences on Pierre Charles Boulevard, Lalay and in Tete Morne, Morton and Bordeo.
  15. Re-design the village water network to avoid repeated digging-up of Lalay.
  16. Re-surface Lalay Road with speed bumps.
  17. Install standpipes in each community.
  18. Light up Pierre Charles playing field and Ma Tutu Park.
  19. Complete Pierre Charles statue and build statues in honour of Ma Tutu & Orient.
  20. Bring culture back to Grand Bay & make Carnival & Isidore money-making events.
  21. Set up a programme of recognition for service to the village.
