“60th Anniversary of the Birth of the P.R.C”

P.D.M salutes the people and leadership of the People’s Republic of China on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the birth of the People’s Republic in 1949.

We are reminded of the giant strides which have been taken, especially since 1977, to advance the economic and social landscape of your country and the quality life of your people. And we note the position of pre-eminence you occupy today amongst the comity of nations.

The P.D.M and the people of Dominica are thankful for the fraternal assistance that the People’s Republic of China has offered to our country. since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries in 2004. We anxiously await commencement of the West Coast Road from Portsmouth to Roseau. And we trust that a way can be found to involve Dominican workers substantially in its construction.

The P.D.M looks forward to the continuation and strengthening of relations between our two countries and our two peoples. Happy 60th anniversary!
